Rocky Mountain Lodge #1 PHA "THE ORIGINATORS" 140 Years of Masonic Tradition! Rocky Mountain Lodge #1, PHA 4200 E. Colfax Denver, Colorado 80220 303-292-4416 Page Index Home Pictures Links History History of the Lodge We have existed longer than the state of Colorado. Founded in 1867, Rocky Mountain Lodge No.1 started as Rocky Mountain Lodge No.7 under charter and dispensation of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Kansas. At the time Colorado was granted statehood in 1876, Rocky Mountain Lodge No.7 with other Prince Hall Lodges collectively came together to form the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Colorado. It was at this time the lodge changed from No.7 to No.1. We fondly refer to ourselves as the "ORIGINATORS" due to the fact that many of the PHA lodges in the Colorado area can trace their roots back to Rocky Mountain Lodge No.1. Our history continues as we move forward into the 21st century. It's hard to believe that this instituation has lived to see three different centuries. What tales the archives hold to those that have the privledge to carry on the tradions of Rocky Mountain Lodge No.1
